Union HIll Inn is surrounded by history and entertainment. Centrally located in the Sierra Foothills, there are resorts, campgrounds, lakes, golf courses and high country waterways in every direction. Moments from the Columbia State HIstoric Park, we are blessed with remnants of the Gold Rush days, where one can pan for gold in a working hardrock gold mine, experience the rush of being overtaken by thieves on the historic stagecoach guided trail rides and enjoy live theatre in the Fallon House. Sonora, "Queen of the Southern MInes", is home to museums, art galleries and more live theater. Murphys, famous for housing 23 wine tasting rooms and ongoing concerts, is only a short 20 minute drive from the Inn.
