We're just north of downtown Sonora, with its museums, restaurants, and quaint shops.  Nearby is Historic Columbia which has been restored to its glorious Gold Rush days (circa 1858).

It features restaurants, historic stage coach rides, gold panning and live theater.

Just across the Stanislaus River is the lovely town of Murphys.  This is another historic town, featuring

18 amazing wine tasting rooms in the downtown area and many delicious restaurants.

Going south.. you'll find the community of Jamestown.  It showcases a Victorian era downtown with wine tasting, antique stores & restaurants.  A few blocks away is Railtown 1897, a California State Historic Park. May-October and Christmas, you can ride vintage steam trains.

Travel further up the mountain on Highway 108... and you'll find the lovely communities of Twain Harte

and Mi Wuk Village. They are located in our gorgeous pine forests.  Continuing east is Pinecrest Lake area,

with fishing, camping, boating, hiking, and beaches.

We are also a short day trip away from Yosemite National Park on Highway 120.  And if that's not enough... we are also a short, 15 mile drive from Black Oak Casino.
